Cocktail Bar & Restaurant
A modern-day interpretation of a Victorian romance, Dear Donna takes inspiration from the era of refined sensibilities where gathering over a leisurely meal spread over courses, fueled on by cocktails and conversations was commonplace.
Dear Donna goes through varied moods throughout the day. What remains constant is a menu of comfort fare derived from recipes collected during travels, signature concoctions that redefine the art of drinking and an easy-going playlist that is unobtrusive.
Located in the lush settings of the ridge and envisioned like the home of an old friend, each room at Dear Donna serves a different purpose with a distinct vibe, yet everything comes together to play its part and hint at a mysterious woman who has left her intangible mark behind. The art on the wall, an embellishment on the table, that pattern in the tiles, even an artifact left behind – the masculine design palette is peppered with feminine energy.
Taking a cue from hotspots around the globe – from Stockholm to New York, London to Paris – Dear Donna is cosmopolitan, comfortable and could blend in anywhere in the world with elements from the past being given an urban treatment. You can laze in the green-specked courtyard or bask in the sun-kissed patio dining during the afternoon and come evening, start with a drink at the bar before sinking into one of the Chesterfield sofas at the lounge.
Food & Beverage
The unconventional food menu is divided into small and big plates spanning culinary styles and continents focusing on comfort food that feeds the body and soul. Signatures include Smashed Avocado on Country Loaf; Grilled Tiger Prawns with yellow curry cream, puffed rice; and Greek Keftas made with hand pressed chicken/lamb gallets, herbs, labneh, that pair perfectly with tipples from the bar. Moving on to hearty portions of Chilli Soy Glazed Pork, Mustard Crusted Sea Bass and Wild Mushroom and Porcini Broth Risotto, finished off with Dark Chocolate Cremeux for dessert.
The bar transports you to late 90s and early 2000s’ England to showcase classics as well as progressive mixology through a unique All Day Drinking Menu that moves from brunch favourites to pre-dinner cocktails and even late night specials, while staying true to fresh ingredients and handcrafted drinks.
